Adventure Camp is looking for Counselors In Training (CIT)! They will be discipled by our Adventure Staff during their two week stay and will learn all they can about being a Palomar Adventure Camp Counselor!

Our Counselor in Training program is designed to focus on increasing leadership skills, personal spiritual growth, and character development.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PROGRAM:
-
Has been to Adventure Camp as a camper at least once
-
Has completed freshmen year or is at least 15 years old
-
Is seeking to grow a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ
-
Has a love for the outdoors and campers
-
Is in good physical condition
LEVEL 1
-
Is new to the CIT program; has been a camper before
-
Assist in setting up and tearing down activities
-
Assists with meal preparation and cooking
-
Teaches and guides campers through: Backpack Preparation,
Shelter Building, Fire Building & Control Management

LEVEL 2
In addition to the duties of Level 1, a Level 2 CIT also:

Must have been a CIT in a previous year

Assists as Co-Lead in the supervision of campers

Assists in the leading of hikes

Assists in leading processing/debriefing times

Assists campers with inventory checks and accounting for all equipment

CITs have three sessions to choose from (two CITs per session)
Session 1: June 11 - June 23
Session 2: July 2 - July 14
Session 3: July 23 - August 4
The CIT cost is $125. The balance is due on or before June 1. Each CIT will fill out an application and go through an interview process to determine their character, outdoor skills, spiritual readiness, and leadership potential.
