PALOMAR ACTIVITIES

Whether you want to test your aim at the archery range or just hang out and enjoy life at the pool, our Palomar site offers a wide variety of activities to fill your free time! If you are part of one of our Palomar Programs camps, you'll get to experience all of these activities in your time with us! If you are a guest group leader, please speak with your Palomar Retreat Coordinator to reserve these activities for your group.

 

*Some of our activities do cost money; Adventure and Horse campers, this is included in your registration. Guest groups, please scroll down for availability and pricing


Groups may purchase an Activity Wristband for all their members at $10 per person, which gives them free access to all activities except Trail Rides and Paintball. If leaders decide not to purchase Activity Wristbands, guests may pay for scheduled activities individually at each activity site during its hours of operation. Cash and card are both accepted.

 

For our summer programs camps (Adventure and Horse camps), activities are pre-scheduled by our staff and pricing is included in your registration fee. Otherwise, staffed activities (which MUST be scheduled by a group leader by the Monday of the week prior to the week of your retreat) pricing and availability are as follows:​

  • Archery: free

    • Close-toed shoes required

    • Can be scheduled any time between 1:30 - 4:30 pm per group leader's request ​
       

  • Swimming Pool: free

    • Can be scheduled any time between 1:30 - 5:00 pm per group leader's request; Memorial Day to Labor Day only ​
       

  • Gun Range: prices vary (see below)

    • Can be scheduled any time between 1:30 - 4:30 pm per group leader's request

    • Close-toed shoes required ​

      • BB Guns: free (all ages)​

      • Rifle (Target): $5 for 20 bullets (ages 11+)

      • Shotgun (Trap): $5 for 6 shells (ages 12+)
         

  • Zipline: $5 per ride or $10 for unlimited rides

    • (3'8"+, under 250lbs., close-toed shoes required)

    • Can be scheduled any time between 1:30 - 4:30 pm per group leader's request​
       

  • Gift Shop: Items range from $0.50 to $45.00

    • ​Can be scheduled any time between 1:30 - 5:00 pm per group leader's request​
       

  • Low Ropes (team-building): $10 per person
    • Can only be scheduled as a morning activity per group leader's request​
    • Close-toed shoes required
       

  • ​Paintball: $20 per person

    • (ages 11+/min. 10 people/max 20 people, close-toed shoes required)

    • One or two games can be scheduled between 1:30 - ​3:30 per group leader's request
       

  • Trail Rides: $25* per person

    • (ages 9+/4'6"+/under 250lbs, long pants and close-toed shoes required)

    • *$20 for Science Camp attendees​

    • Can be scheduled between 1:30 - 3:30 per group leader's request
